Finding CFAR's Bright Idea
Idea Platforms, Inc. is excited to begin working with the Center For Applied Research on the Bright Idea process — IPI’s method for book idea assessment, development, and refinement. CFAR is a management consulting firm located in Cambridge and Philadelphia. They excel in working with highly complex, loosely-coupled organizations, and they bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to their work. John Butman, Hannah Alpert-Abrams, and Anna Weiss of IPI will be working with the people at CFAR to help identify and express their brightest Bright Idea.
IPI at GCM
From April 11-April 13, 2010, HCL Technologies, headed by IPI client Vineet Nayar, held its annual Global Customer Meet at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. HCL has been holding the event for the past five years, and it serves to bring together not only HCL’s customers, but also some of the most respected and smartest leaders in the business and technology sectors. This year, the theme for the event was the New Normal, and it focused on the realities of doing business in a world rampant with change from all sectors — technological, economical, social, and more. Former President Bill Clinton and management expert Gary Hamel were both on hand to address the crowd, as well as other thought leaders from around the world. John Butman was also there as an advisor. Idea Platforms, Inc. collaborated with Vineet Nayar on his forthcoming book, Employees First, Customers Second, and is working with HCL to promote Vineet’s management ideas across the US and around the world.

MASTERING THE VC GAME Kicks Off!
Photo credit: @bznotesThe publication of Mastering the VC Game by Jeff Bussgang of Flybridge Capital Partners was celebrated with a launch party on April 26. Entrepreneurs, VCs, academics, and friends attended the launch, which was held at the Microsoft NERD Center in Kendall Square.
