Katzenbach + Khan in Strategy + Business

Strategy + Business recently published an article about Jon Katzenbach and Zia Khan’s new book, Leading Outside the Lines. The article details how Ed Carolan, a general manager of StockPot Soups—part of Campbell’s—used both formal and informal methods to transform his business. Carolan re-organized his company’s quantitative metrics, as well as emphasized his company’s corporate values, and improved profits by 50% during the recession of 2008-2009. Katzenbach and Khan’s book is full of stories of other executives like Carolan, and we hope that their book will continue to influence industry leaders to take a look at a new and effective way to lead. Idea Platforms, Inc. collaborated with the authors on Leading Outside the Lines and the Strategy + Business article. Visit Strategy + Business to read the full article.

Jon Katzenbach and Zia Kahn’s new book, Leading Outside the Lines: How to Mobilize the Informal Organization, Energize Your Team, and Get Better Results, has been released! The Butman Company is now Idea Platforms, Inc.

In the past two years, we have grown from a company of one to a company of five full-time people. In the process, we have embraced a collaborative writing approach, in which multiple team members work on each proposal and manuscript, and everyone contributes to idea development. To reflect our new identity, we have changed the name of the company to Idea Platforms, Inc., or IPI.
