John Butman is an idea and book developer, author's representative, author, and founder and principal of Idea Platforms, Inc., which helps clients worldwide shape their ideas, develop expressions, create books, and establish multi-faceted platforms.
Forms of expression. John and his associates have helped individuals and organizations create expressions in many forms—including books and articles, speeches, social media, live presentations and events, film and video, graphics and illustrations.
Personal published work. In addition to some fifty books John has helped to create for others, he is the author of many books and articles of his own, including works of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry.

Education. John holds a BfA from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He studied writing and directing with renowned theatrical filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Oliver Stone, documentarians George Stoney and George Bowman, and poets M.L. Rosenthal and Robert Hazel. He reads widely and constantly in public affairs, business, and the arts.
